DON’T NOD joins forces with Netflix for a narrative experiencie based on a major IP

French company DON’T NOD has announced its latest half-year results, showing significant growth in revenue. There are several factors that have contributed to this notable improvement in the group’s financial health.

For starters, we have the contribution of Bloom & Rage and its inclusion in PlayStation Plus. Still, DON’T NOD claims that the game’s performance didn’t reach expectations, resulting in a partial write-down of €13.1 million (with no impact on cash flow). In addition, the suspension of two projects, the discontinuation of development of Bloom & Rage, and the finalization of the restructuring plan all contributed to this recovery. Such plan resulted in the layoff of 37 full-time employees between June 30, 2024, and June 30, 2025.

But that’s not the only explanation, as DON’T NOD also signed a contract with Netflix at the same time. This is a development agreement for a narrative game based on “a major IP”. The project, developed by the Montreal-based studio and published by Netflix, will be “a new narrative experience that builds on the studio’s recognized expertise in the genre”.
