NVIDIA’s announcement of DLSS 5 has caused quite a stir this week… but not necessarily in a good way. Online users have generally rejected this new version and its overly generic rendering generated by artificial intelligence.
Among NVIDIA’s first partners for this technology will be Bethesda Game Studios. Starfield and the company’s future games will use DLSS 5 to enhance their visuals. In light of the controversy, the studio wanted to clarify two important points.
First, Bethesda Game Studios emphasized that the changes made by DLSS 5 will be entirely under the control of artists and developers. There will be no default filter applied. Furthermore, it is stated that players will be able to enable and disable this rendering mode at will, depending on their individual preferences.
