Coffee Stain (Goat Simulator) will leave Embracer Group in 2026

Known for developing titles such as Goat Simulator and Satisfactory, as well as publishing Valheim, Coffee Stain is about to take an important step forward. Next year, the Swedish studio will leave the Embracer Group conglomerate.

This will give rise to Coffee Stain Group, a company comprising 13 studios and approximately 250 developers. It will specialize in AA games and will attempt to go public. An application for listing will be made to Nasdaq First North. This will gauge investor interest in a group focused on smaller-budget productions.

For its part, Embracer will become Fellowship Entertainment in 2026. This time, it will be an AAA gaming company that will include Crystal Dynamics (Tomb Raider) as its main studio. It will also own Deus Ex, The Lord of the Rings, Metro, Dead Island, Kingdom Come Deliverance, and other series. This will bring the total to 57 studios and approximately 7,000 employees.
