As promised, players on all platforms can now access the character creator for Bandai Namco’s Code Vein 2. It promises unparalleled access to “thousands” of different styles, including shoes, tattoos, face markings, hair-styles, accessories and clothing. Such is its power that you can even create Jin Kazama from Tekken or The Prince from Katamari Damacy, in case the Revenants weren’t scary enough.
Beyond simply creating your version of the protagonist Hunter, it’s also possible to explore MagMell’s Institute and even take a dip in the hot springs with companions. And if walking around in real-time environments to gauge the lighting and shadows on your creation isn’t enough, there’s Photo Mode for testing out poses, exposure, saturation, and more.
Not satisfied with simply one custom character? Looking to compare them all before importing them into the full game? Don’t worry, because there are 64 – yes, 64 – slots available. It would be overkill if not for the sheer brutality of combat everywhere else.
Code Vein 2 launches on January 30th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, but those who purchase the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition can access it on January 27th.
