In today’s Daily Fix:Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is out today, but if you’re jumping into the campaign, be aware that you can’t just pause it whenever you want for a quick bathroom break. The game’s always-online campaign mode doesn’t have a pause feature, and will kick if back to the main menu if you’re idle for too long Check out our Black Ops 7 single-player review for more. In other news, Red Dead Redemption is finally getting a current-gen update for Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. The update adds HDR and 4K support, and the Switch 2 version will also support DLSS and mouse controls. The good news is if you already own the PS4/Switch/Xbox One version, you can upgrade for free. Now if only they’d drop an update for Red Dead 2. And finally, the latest overview video for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond introduces NPCs that will join Samus on her adventure. Unfortunately, they might be more chatty than we’d like.

This sounds like an interesting shift for the Call of Duty series! An online-only campaign without checkpoints or pausing could really change the gameplay experience. Looking forward to seeing how players adapt to this new format!
