Even after 30-plus years, the Final Fantasy games from the NES and SNES eras continue to stay in vogue. Square Enix has revealed that the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series has now surpassed 6 million copies sold.
The official Final Fantasy account on X announced the sales milestone, thanking players for their support. The Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series originally arrived in 2021, and at first, there was quite a bit of blowback for the font choices in the retro RPGs. The collection features remastered versions of the first six Final Fantasy games, starting with Final Fantasy on NES (1987) through Final Fantasy VI on SNES (1994). Updates for the titles include auto-battle functions and modernized UIs.
