Chronoscript: The Endless End Announced, Coming to PS5 in 2026

Shueisha Games and DeskWorks Inc. took the stage during the recent State of Play showcase to unveil its title, Chronoscript: The Endless End, with a trailer. The game has been described as an exploration-based 2D action-adventure game. Check out the trailer showcasing the gameplay below.

Chronocscript: The Endless End takes place in the year 2026, and revolves around an editor taking on a strange request after having wrapped up work on a long-running series. While heading to a manor in a remote mountain, the editor gets bitten by a mosquito, which knocks him out. On waking up, the protagonist finds himself stuck in the pages of a manuscript with an endless story.

The player, in the role of the editor, helps the writer – who has lived for a thousand years – write their story and must ultimately help the writer find the ending. The visual style in Chronoscript: The Endless End features a mix of 3D and 2D. While the mansion itself is 3D, there are also 2D illustrated worlds that players will get to explore within the pages they find in the mansion.

Chronoscript: The Endless End is coming to PS5 in 2026.
