For several years now, Capcom has made a habit of announcing its games on producer Geoff Keighley’s various stages. Resident Evil Requiem was officially announced at Summer Game Fest, and Okami 2, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and Mega Man: Dual Override were announced at The Game Awards.
In response to a message from Geoff Keighley congratulating him on the launch of Requiem, Jun Takeuchi, executive producer at Capcom, seems to have teased his presence at this year’s Game Awards.
“Thank you for your kind words, Geoff. I’m so grateful that so many users around the world love this game. It’d be amazing to see you at the end of the year..”
Since rumors suggest a remake of Resident Evil Code Veronica will be released in 2027, an announcement at The Game Awards on December 11, 2026, cannot be ruled out.
