Resident Evil Revelations was originally released as a 3DS exclusive in January 2012 and is a somewhat overlooked entry in the franchise. That being said, it’s nonetheless highly regarded and has been ported to other platforms in May 2013 and 2017.
In a post on X, the well-informed insider Dusk Golem stated that a potential remake of the first Resident Evil Revelations has reportedly been discussed internally at Capcom. Currently, Masachika Kawata and Kōshi Nakanishi, who served as producer and director on the game respectively, are leading the Resident Evil franchise as a whole. They might therefore be tempted to bring Revelations back into the spotlight.
Furthermore, Dusk Golem claims to have heard that the Resident Evil game announced for the PSP in 2009 (which never saw the light of day) actually became Revelations during its development.
