Capcom is bringing back the Mega Man franchise in style in the coming months. In 2027, the famous blue humanoid robot will celebrate its 40th anniversary. To mark the occasion, the Japanese publisher is preparing a packed program.
Shingo Izumi, the producer of the saga, told Famitsu that 2026 will serve as a preparatory year for the upcoming anniversary. Fans can expect “good news” over the next 12 months.
“The Mega Man series will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2027. I would like to devote this year (2026) to preparing for this milestone event. We will focus our efforts on announcing good news to fans, and I hope you will join us. We also thank you for your continued support of the Mega Man series in 2026.”
Remember that Mega Man: Dual Override is expected on all platforms in 2027.
