The solo Chinese dev behind unique PS5 shooter Bright Memory: Infinite has announced a new action game with a promising concept. FYQD-Studio’s upcoming game currently doesn’t have a title, a release window, or even a list of platforms, but we’ve received in-game screenshots and an overview, with the promise of more information soon.
Bright Memory PS5 dev’s new action game has an interesting premise
The mystery game is a third-person action shooter set in China “amidst a time of turmoil and collapsing order,” per FYQD-Studio. The screenshots suggest that the game will be set in history.
“Rival gangs clash in the shadows, as violence and conspiracy quietly spread through the streets,” FYQD-Studio added.
The game’s development is in the motion capture phase, with an additional focus on art assets. Check out the screenshots below:
Considering FYQD-Studio is a solo dev, we expect this title to release on PC first, followed by other platforms, including console, similar to the release of Bright Memory: Infinite. The 2022 PS5 game received mixed reviews from critics but garnered a cult following and a more positive response from players.
I’m getting The Order 1886 vibes from these screenshots, but I hope FYQD-Studio’s title fares better than Ready at Dawn‘s doomed PS4 exclusive (which I loved).
