Borderlands 4 creator says gaming has no Citizen Kane — and maybe no masterpieces at all

Randy Pitchford is once again stirring discussion after claiming that gaming has yet to see its “Citizen Kane” moment. Speaking in a Shacknews interview about Borderlands 4, the developer reflected on the massive scale of AAA games before suggesting the industry hasn’t yet produced a single defining masterpiece.
