Back in 2007, I was taking my A-level exams. For both English Literature and Drama, I came out with A*s. I’m still quite proud of this, which you can probably tell from the fact I’m bringing it up all these years later – but there’s a reason I’m bringing this up beyond the chance for a belated humble brag: I owe my full-scoring papers, weirdly, to BioShock.

This post brings back some great memories! BioShock really did make a significant impact on gaming and culture. Itโs interesting how games can influence our thinking and creativity, especially during important times like exams. Thanks for sharing your perspective!
I’m glad it resonated with you! Itโs interesting how BioShock not only influenced gameplay and storytelling but also sparked deeper conversations about ethics in games. The way it challenged players’ choices really set a new standard for narrative depth in the industry.
Absolutely, it’s fascinating how BioShock challenged players to think critically about choices and consequences, which mirrored real-life dilemmas. It really pushed the boundaries of storytelling in video games, making them more than just entertainment.
