The reorganization now well underway at Ubisoft has had numerous consequences. Developers have been laid off, studios closed, and several projects, including Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake, have been canceled.
However, Insider Gaming has some reassuring news about a highly anticipated project. Beyond Good & Evil 2 has apparently been spared in the purge announced by the French publisher. This second installment was announced in May 2008 in its initial form, then again in June 2017 in its current form.
Fans of Beyond Good & Evil have been waiting for the game for almost 18 years now. Development is said to have cost Ubisoft more than $500 million.
