Black Friday may be behind us, but that hasn’t stopped Sony from bringing great deals to some of its best PS4 and PS5 games with the PlayStation Store‘s “End of Year Deals” sale. That includes this beloved PS4 adventure game that was originally released for the Nintendo GameCube in 2002.

Resident Evil is 75% off on the PS Store

Originally developed and published by Capcom, the Resident Evil remake is currently 75% off on the PS Store. That brings its usual price of $19.99 down to just $4.99. PS4 and PS5 players who want to take advantage of this deal will need to act fast. The offer ends on December 23 at 2:59 a.m. ET.

Here is a description for Resident Evil, giving players an idea of what to expect from this beloved survival horror experience:

“In 1998 a special forces team is sent to investigate some bizarre murders on the outskirts of Raccoon City. Upon arriving they are attacked by a pack of blood-thirsty dogs and are forced to take cover in a nearby mansion. But the scent of death hangs heavy in the air. Supplies are scarce as they struggle to stay alive.”

When Resident Evil was originally released for the GameCube in 2002, it was universally acclaimed. According to the review aggregate site Metacritic, it garnered an average score of 91 across 35 critic reviews. In our review of the HD Remaster of the game, we gave it a 9 out of 10.
