Beloved PS3 Classic RPG Gets PS5 Remaster Release Date

PS5 RPG Sacred 2 Remaster

The PlayStation 5 is filled with numerous remakes and remasters of some of the most beloved video games of all time. In just a few weeks, another game will join the ever-growing list of PS5 remasters, with this latest =being a modernized edition of a fan-favorite PS3 RPG released over 15 years ago.

Sacred 2 PS5 remaster release date announced

Developed by SparklingBit and published by THQ Nordic, it was announced the Sacred 2 Remaster, a PS5 remaster of the 2008 ARPG Sacred 2: Fallen Angel, will release on November 11. It will cost $29.99 on the PS Store. For those who are not familiar with the title, a description and trailer can be found below.

β€œAncaria stands on the brink. T-Energy, the mysterious power source that once brought prosperity, now fuels corruption, conflict, and chaos. In the midst of war and betrayal, six heroes rise β€” each with their own fate, abilities, and path through a living, breathing open world.”

Anyone familiar with most PS5 remasters will know what to expect from Sacred 2 Remaster. This modernized version of the 17 year old game will include smoother combat, modern UI, controller support, and enhanced visuals. It will also include every expansion and update, giving Sacred 2 newcomers and veterans plenty to do as they explore the world of Ancaria.

When Sacred 2: Fallen Angel was originally released for PC back in 2008, it was met with decent reviews. According to the review aggregate site Metacritic, the PC version garnered an average score of 71 across 41 critic reviews. The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions were released in 2009 with similar review score averages.

The Sacred 2 Remaster does have a PS Store page, but it can’t be preordered as of this writing. However, players can add it to their wishlist.
