Pokecology: An Illustrated Guide to Pokemon Ecology
$15 | Releases April 21, 2026
The Pokecology explores the ecologies of Pokemon based on data from the Pokedex. The 208-page book is full of visuals that examine the similarities, differences, generalities, and relationships between Pokemon ecologies, and Chihiro Kinoshita, a real-life expert in animal behavior and ecosystems, has illustrated it. The book is also officially licensed by The Pokemon Company, as it’s produced through its publishing imprint, Pikachu Press.
For more Pokemon academia, you can also check out Pokemon: The Complete Pocket Guide Volume 1 and Volume 2. The first 560-page volume covers Pokedex entries No. 1 through 442, and the 552-page Volume 2 covers PokĂ©mon 443 through 898 on the National Pokedex. This is a fairly comprehensive list, but you won’t find Pokemon from the Paldean region of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet listed here. The nice thing about these books is that they’re designed to be pocket-friendly and they’re also available as part of a two-book box set. Each Pokemon is accompanied by details on its stats, abilities, moves, and evolutions.
