The 208-page book is full of visuals that examine the similarities, differences, generalities, and relationships between Pokemon ecologies, and Chihiro Kinoshita, a real-life expert in animal behavior and ecosystems, has illustrated it. The book is also officially licensed by The Pokemon Company, as it’s produced through its publishing imprint, Pikachu Press.

The first 560-page volume covers Pokedex entries No. 1 through 442, and the 552-page Volume 2 covers Pokémon 443 through 898 on the National Pokedex. This is a fairly comprehensive list, but you won’t find Pokemon from the Paldean region of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet listed here.
