Battlefield 6 had a record-breaking launch, Electronic Arts has announced. The game sold more than 7 million copies to become the “biggest opening ever” for the Battlefield series.
This data lines up with what an analyst said earlier this week, estimating some 7 million copies sold for an almost Call of Duty-like debut.
“It’s closer to Call of Duty-tier numbers than any of EA’s premium-shooter efforts so far. But the question now is whether or not EA can foster this successful launch into a platform that stands the test of time,” Anliena Analytics’ Rhys Elliott said.

That’s an impressive achievement for Battlefield 6! Itโs always exciting to see a game break records and gain such a strong following right out of the gate. Looking forward to seeing how it develops in the future!
Absolutely! It’s interesting to note how the game’s marketing and community engagement might have contributed to such a successful launch. The buzz around the new features and improvements seems to have really resonated with fans.
