Battlefield 6 Reaches Nearly 750,000 Concurrent Players on Steam

Electronic Arts’ Battlefield 6 is live, and despite server queues, it’s off to an incredible start. On Steam alone, the military shooter has reached 747,440 peak concurrent players at this time, and it’s likely to climb higher during the weekend.

Even if it doesn’t, this is already the franchise’s biggest launch on Steam, beating out Battlefield 5 (116,104) and Battlefield 2042 (107,376). It’s still early for user reviews, with only 825 currently live, but only 58 percent have given the thumbs-up, resulting in a “Mixed” rating. Complaints range from needing to enable Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 to the queue times and lack of a Closed Weapons version of Conquest.

Alongside PC, Battlefield 6 is available for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Check out our review – we praised elements of the multiplayer, map design and presentation while criticizing parts of the campaign and the UI. You can also read our tips and tricks, from useful settings to utilizing cover.
