As enjoyable as Battlefield 6 is for fans, long-term players have noted the complete absence of features such as naval warfare. DICE revealed that requests for the same haven’t gone unnoticed, and it seems to be making strides towards implementing the same, according to Insider-Gaming’s Tom Henderson.
Based on “strings of code” datamined from the game, there will be two new naval vehicles – Jet Skies and Rigid-Hulled Inflatable Boats or RHIBs. Both were recently added, which could mean they’ll debut sooner than later. Officially, however, that doesn’t mean we’ll see them in Season 1, which adds the Traverser Mark 2 on October 28th as a new land vehicle.
Time will tell, so stay tuned for more updates. Battlefield 6 is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. You can check out our review here. It’s reportedly sold over 6.5 million copies and grossed over $350 million in revenue, with Steam contributing the lion’s share. Head here for more details.
