In 2022, Bandai Namco acquired Limbic Entertainment, the studio that went on to release Park Beyond in June 2023. This amusement park simulation received mixed reviews from gamers.
Three and a half years later, the Japanese publisher announced the sale of Limbic Entertainment to “a private investor specializing in the video game industry”. Bandai Namco stated that it wants to “refocus its catalog on areas where the company offers the most successful content”. However, the Japanese company has no intention of stopping the development of management and simulation titles.
Arnaud Muller, CEO of Bandai Namco Europe, made a brief statement.
“We are proud of the work accomplished by the teams over the years and wish our friends at Limbic every success in their projects as an independent studio.”
