ASUS reportedly plans to raise PC prices by 30%

The worst may be yet to come for memory and storage prices. So far, many manufacturers have been able to rely on their inventory to avoid significant price hikes on their products. But this is unlikely to last.

According to a report by UDN, ASUS is preparing for one of the sharpest price hikes ever recorded for its PCs. As a result, the brand’s computers could see prices rise by 30% in the coming weeks. For now, it’s important to note that this would only affect the Taiwanese market. However, other regions of the world could be affected later on.

Manufacturers are now being hit hard by memory shortages, rising SSD prices, and limited supplies of processors and graphics cards. ASUS and its competitors will therefore have to raise their prices to maintain their margins.
