On Switch 2, the developers have chosen to preserve the visual beauty of the game and guarantee a constant frame rate of 30 FPS in both docked and portable modes. The cloud and clothing simulation system has been retained, but the volume of data processed has been reduced, with a baked-in global lighting system implemented.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows will support DLSS and VRR on the Nintendo console. In addition, various areas such as display distance, level of detail, texture resolution, and element loading have been adjusted in order to preserve performance. The number of NPCs on screen has also been reduced.
Finally, touch controls in portable mode will allow for more intuitive navigation of menus, maps, and hideouts. Ubisoft has released several clips from the Switch 2 version.
