Arknights: Endfield Crosses 35 Million Pre-Registrations Ahead of Next Week’s Global Launch

Nearly four years since its announcement, Gryphline’s Arknights: Endfield, a free-to-play action RPG spin-off of the successful tower defense game, is out next week. The publisher hosted a Special Program to celebrate the upcoming launch while also announcing over 35 million pre-registrations (up from last month’s 30 million+). Everyone who pre-ordered can avail themselves of free rewards, including 5-star Operator Snowshine.

It also dropped not one, not two, but three brand new trailers, including a cinematic-heavy one set to Starset’s “We Are Empire.” Set on Talos-2 in the future, the story focuses on the Endministrator, the leader of Endfield Industries. With the moon and its denizens facing unprecedented crises and calamities, you must initiate the Zeroth Directive to bring peace.

The problem? You’ve lost your memories, and no one else remembers all of the Directive’s details. No pressure, of course. Between managing a party of four in real-time hack and slash combat, you’ll also set up the Automated Industry Complex to refine resources, produce goods, and much more.

Arknights: Endfield launches on January 22nd for iOS, PS5, PC, and Android. It supports DualSense (including haptic feedback), DualShock, and Xbox controllers while offering DLSS Super Resolution and Frame Generation for improved performance. You can even look forward to 120 frames per second support. Check out our feature for everything to know before diving in.

Absolutely! It’s a testament to the game’s strong community and anticipation. I’m curious to see how the gameplay mechanics will differ from the original Arknights, especially given the shift to an action RPG format.

the gameplay mechanics will evolve compared to the original Arknights. The blend of action RPG elements with the existing tower defense style could really offer a fresh experience. It’ll be interesting to see how players adapt to these new dynamics!
