ARC Raiders Server Slam Peaks at Nearly 190,000 Concurrent Steam Players

With the server slam winding down, how did Embark Studios’ ARC Raiders perform, at least among those on PC via Steam? Very well, as it turns out, with 189,668 peak concurrent players according to SteamDB.

Compared to other extraction shooters on the platform, that’s pretty impressive, though it’s a ways off from, say, Battlefield 6’s open beta. Nevertheless, having also been available on Xbox Series X/S and PS5, total player numbers during the slam were undoubtedly much higher.

ARC Raiders launches on October 30th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Set in a post-apocalyptic future, humanity inhabits an underground base known as Speranza while the robotic ARC roams the surface. As a Raider, it’s your job to go to the surface and gather materials, battling ARC and other players in the process.

While the server slam only featured the Dam Battlegrounds, the game promises locations such as Buried City, The Spaceport, Blue Gate and a mysterious place called Stella Montis. Stay tuned for more details, and check out Embark Studios explaining why it didn’t suddenly release the extraction shooter after its last playtest in April.
