These ARC Raiders mods won’t be saving any actual lives, but in terms of being a time-saver for the impatient gamers out there, it’s somewhat of a godsend.
Developed and published by the indie team at Embark Studios, ARC Raiders quickly became one of the surprise hits of 2025 and judging by the continually impressive concurrent player numbers on Steam, it looks the the momentum of the PvPvE shooter will continue to roll in 2026.
“In ARC Raiders, gameplay flows between the surface ruled by lethal machines and the vibrant underground society of Speranza. Craft, repair, and upgrade your gear in the safety of your own workshop, before venturing topside to scavenge the remnants of a devastated but beautiful world,” reads the description of the game.
“Play solo or in parties up to three, navigating the constant threat of ARC’s machines and the unpredictable choices of fellow survivors. In the end, only you decide what kind of Raider you are – and how far you’ll go to prevail.”
In the modern era of gaming, we’re so used to quick loading times, some of which are so instantaneous, that a 10-second loading screen can feel like a millennium.
However, if you lived through the screeching loading times (that often result in multiple crashes and reloads) of the Sinclair ZX Spectrum and home computers before that, you do not know real pain. Sorry if that’s triggered 1980s PTSD.
Impatient ARC Raiders Players Will Love These Mods
That being said, if tormented by the ARC Raiders loading screens, then you might want to check out these two beneficial mods on PC. Best of all, with these mods only skipping local files and not impacting matchmaking or gameplay, you’ll not need to worry about being banned for using them. Well, at least at the time of writing.
The first mod, created by TinyStormCloud, is called ‘Skip Match Loading Video’ and it skips the tunnel video intro before the start of the match. Meaning that you’re pretty much thrown straight into the action.
The second mod, also from the same creator, is ‘Skip Quest Videos’, and it thankfully prevents you from having to watch the same videos over and over, after resetting. Happy days!
Sadly, as is the case with most mods, both of the mods featured in this article are exclusive to PC. For the rest of us, we can enjoy ARC Raiders as intended on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
