Developed and published by Seed Lab, Starsand Island is an anticipated “cozy” game that is slated to release on February 1. However, it seems the PS5 version of the game has accidentally released on the PS Store.
PS5 game Starsand Island releases months early on PS Store
Available right now on the PS Store (H/T Gematsu), Starsand Island is currently $42.49. It does seem that this was a mistake, as it isn’t available to purchase on PC via Steam or Xbox. However, as of this writing, the game has been available to purchase for the past two or three hours. So, anyone interested may want to pick it up if they want to play it months in advance.
PS5 players have confirmed that they were able to purchase Starsand Island from the PS Store, and it seems it is the full game. X (formerly Twitter) user @Renka_schedule posted some footage as proof they were able to play the game. They also confirmed that they can pop trophies, that it is 9.25GB, and that it features two graphics options.
Here is a trailer and a brief description of the game, giving PS5 players an idea of what to expect from Starsand Island:
“Escape the Urban Grind to Starsand Island – Your Island Paradise Awaits! Tired of the hustle and bustle? Return to the tranquil embrace of Starsand Island, a gem hailed as the ‘Star of the Deep Sea.’ Here, immerse yourself in a serene pastoral lifestyle: slow-paced days spent bonding with adorable capybaras, cats, and dogs, savoring the thrill of bountiful fishing, exploring the mystical Moonlit Forest, or simply soaking in the island’s untouched beauty. Leave the mundane behind and rediscover life’s simple joys in this coastal utopia.”
