Amazon’s cloud gaming service has just undergone a major overhaul. The American company is drastically scaling back Luna, which is set to lose several key features.
As of this Friday, April 10, 2026, Luna users will no longer be able to purchase individual games or subscriptions to third-party platforms. The game stores have also disappeared.
“At Amazon, we’re constantly looking for ways to better serve our gamers. Your feedback is clear: you want easy access to great games, richer social experiences, and a steady stream of new content from developers you know and love. As our library grows, an increasing portion of this content is available to Prime members, and that’s where we’re focusing our future efforts.”
To be more specific, game purchases, platforms such as Ubisoft, GOG, and EA Play, as well as Ubisoft+ and Jackbox Games subscriptions, are being removed from Luna. Note that users subscribed to one or more services will be able to access their benefits until June 10, 2026. Additionally, after that date, games purchased via Luna on a third-party platform will no longer be playable.
