All Scout Bot Locations In Metroid Prime 4: Beyond

Are you befuddled by the locations of Scout Bots in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond? These derelict machines have been scattered all over the world of Viewros, and some of them are quite hard to find. Still, if you manage to stumble upon these contraptions, then you’re in for a treat. That’s because they automatically reveal all items and upgrades in a particular zone.

Our guide has all the details that you need. But, before we continue, we need to remind you that Scout Bots can only be activated once you’ve unlocked the Thunder Shot ability several hours into the campaign. Upon zapping a Scout Bot, scan it to mark the remaining items on your map.

Fury Green – Scout Bot location

Sub-zone: Ancient Path – This machine is in the middle of the clearing next to several red plants.

Volt Forge – Scout Bot location

Sub-zone: Tower 2 Generator – You’re likely to spot this Scout Bot in Metroid Prime 4 while exploring the Volt Forge. Later in the game, once you get the Thunder Shot, you could just take a shortcut to reach it.

  • From the Tower 1 Elevator, use a bomb to activate a lift that allows you to fit if you’re in your Morph Ball form.
  • At the Tower 1 Generator area, walk to the opposite edge and scan the purple mist. This reveals a psionic boost rail. Charge your Psychic Boost Ball to quickly travel to Tower 2.
  • The drone is at the opposite end of the Tower 2 Generator platform.

Ice Belt – Scout Bot location

Sub-zone: Snowfield – This machine is fairly hard to miss. You’ll see it as you approach the large open Snowfield, which is also where you end up fighting dozens of wolves. Oh, and don’t forget to grab the Shot Expansion in a small nook behind the debris. Use your Fire Shot to melt the ice.

Flare Pool – Scout Bot location

Sub-zone: Lava Lake Bridge – Upon arriving at the massive lake of scorching hot lava, mount up on your Vi-O-La and go to the opposite end along the right-hand side. The derelict contraption is near some tether points.

These are the Metroid Prime 4 Scout Bots that we’ve acquired so far in our playthrough. We’ll let you know once we discover others, so stay tuned.
