Adventure Time’s showrunner finally reveals how Mitski made it into the show

The Adventure Time universe has always been rich with narrative mystery, and Adam Muto arguably knows its ins and outs better than anyone. The long-time showrunner of Adventure Time is currently at the helm of spin-off Fionna and Cake. And so, when I was given the opportunity to interview Muto, one extremely niche question was top of mind: How did the music of indie singer-songwriter Mitski wind up in Adventure Time?
