It’s quite clear now that Dispatch has been a huge success. There’s a lot of people following what’s AdHoc Studio doing now closely, and many are asking for a sequel.
In an interview with Eurogamer, Nick Herman, co-founder of the studio and director of Dispatch, briefly mentioned the possibility of a second season.
“People are mad that we haven’t told them what we’re doing. It’s the new problem, right? It’s like, are you doing it? Are you not doing it? We’re days away from really sitting down and having the time – because we’ve had to support the game – where we’re going to really sit down and lay those plans out.
There were zero expectations for Season 1 – external expectations. People just had to show up and enjoy it and not have a bunch of theories and stuff in their head. Season 2, if we do it, we know that’s going to be an extra challenge.”
Screenwriter Pierre Shorette added that he is considering Season 2 of Dispatch “as seriously as anything.” However, he did mention “a lot of pressure” given the success of the first chapter, which has already sold over 2 million copies.
Remember that Dispatch will be released on Switch and Switch 2 on January 28, 2026.
