A We Were Here Tomorrow demo just dropped onto Steam

A demo for Total Mayhem Games’ sci-fi co-op puzzler sequel, We Were Here Tomorrow, has been released on Steam – available for a limited time of one week.s

We Were Here Tomorrow takes a break from the frigid and fantasy puzzling of the earlier games and jumps ahead to a sci-fi future. There’s plenty of strange machinery to interact with, while a voice guides you through a series of assignments, nudging you along with the promise that you’ll be able to get back to your own time… so long as you just do a few odd jobs along the way. Surely there’s no ulterior motives?

You’ll be tasked (as always) with different parts of the asymmetrical puzzles, which require you to communicate via walkie-talkies (and practice good walkie-talkie etiquette!) to progress.

Aside from the two player co-op, We Were Here Tomorrow will also feature asymmetrical puzzles, the two characters having distinct roles and abilities, and a facility that has a retro-future design to it. We previously reviewed the last entry to the series We Were Here Forever, and in our review Stefan said, “We Were Here Forever certainly grew on us the more we played, with some great brain-teasing puzzles that really make the most of the split player perspectives (though we did give up on the walkie-talkies).”

While this demo is a Steam exclusive, We Were Here Tomorrow is going to release for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, with an aim of releasing this year, though a concrete date has yet to be confirmed.
