Despite celebrating its 25th anniversary last year, the Metro franchise has yet to see the announcement of a new title. However, developer 4A Games had previously stated that it was working on a brand-new game.
If we are to believe information from user AlexandreNGamR on X, the next Metro could be officially announced next week. This user had leaked the broadcast of State of Play rumored for April 16, 2026 before it was confirmed by insider NateTheHate. However, we should take this with a grain of salt.
We may therefore see this new Metro during Sony’s event. The presentation of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced is also reportedly scheduled for April 16.
