Many are waiting for the PlayStation 6 to enjoy a powerful console capable of achieving high frame rates with the best rendering technologies enabled. It’s true that the PS5 still struggles to deliver high-end graphics and optimal smoothness simultaneously.
However, one modder has achieved this feat by porting Linux to Sony’s current machine. To illustrate his work, Andy Nguyen showed GTA V Enhanced running at 60 frames per second with ray tracing. The HDMI 4K video and audio outputs are fully functional. The same goes for the console’s USB ports.
In terms of technical specifications, the PS5’s processor runs at 3.2 GHz and the graphics card at 2.0 GHz. It would even be possible to achieve higher frequencies, but this would cause the system to overheat quickly.
