Warhorse Studios is at the center of a controversy. The studio behind the Kingdom Come: Deliverance franchise has been accused of firing one of its employees in order to replace them with artificial intelligence.
On Reddit, a user named Max H, who had been a Czech-to-English translator and proofreader since July 2022, stated that he was abruptly fired on March 27. In a lengthy post, the employee expressed his sense of betrayal toward his former employer. Apparently, Warhorse simply eliminated his position to have the task performed by AI.
‘Yesterday, March 27th 2026, with no forewarning, I was invited to a meeting and promptly told that, in an effort to “make the company more effective” and “save finances”, as of next month, my position at the company would become “obsolete” in favour of using AI for all translations going forward.’
‘This came as a huge shock to me, as though the discussion about using AI for translating had frequently come up in the past, something I was always strongly and vocally against, but never to the extent that it might actually cost me my job in the future. It had, of course, crossed my mind many times, but I naively thought my work at WHS was valued enough that I might not be at immediate risk.’
In any case, he also asked readers not to harass Warhorse Studios on social media. His sole aim was to raise awareness about the dangers of AI usage.

This is an interesting development in the gaming industry. It’s always intriguing to see how technology and creativity intersect, even if it brings about some controversy. Looking forward to seeing how this unfolds!
I completely agree! The integration of AI in gaming can really change how stories are told and experiences are crafted. It will be fascinating to see if this shift enhances player engagement or if it raises concerns about creativity and originality.
