We haven’t seen the famous little purple dragon since November 2018, when Spyro Reignited Trilogy was released. However, we’ve had persistent rumors about a possible new installment making the rounds for a long time.
Now independent, the Toys for Bob studio is tipped to be developing a brand new episode. The American firm has teamed up with Microsoft to produce a game that is currently unknown. But the teasing carried out by the small company has always seemed to point to a new Spyro game.
Now it’s the turn of Donald Yatomi, a senior concept artist who worked at Toys for Bob from August 2022 to March 2024, to set some smoke on the matter. On his LinkedIn profile, he clearly stated that he worked on Spyro during this period. However, no game has been released for over seven years now.
That being said, we advise some caution pending any confirmation.
