Needless to say, in July, Microsoft decided to lay off thousands of people and cancel several projects. Among them was Everwild, the upcoming multiplayer game from Rare (Sea of Thieves).
Announced in November 2019, the title had only got two trailers over the past six years. As a result, the concept behind Everwild remained unclear, and no official gameplay images were ever revealed.
This week, thanks to the website of an artist who worked on the title, we can now see a handful of images. The quality of the screenshots is far from optimal, but still, we can see the interface, the main character, and briefly some of the scenery. The visuals are said to be taken from a version close to the one in development just before the cancellation.
