Fortnitemares 2025: All Skins, Crossovers, Weapons, And New Map

The most wonderful time of the Fortnite year is upon us–Fortnitemares has begun! This year’s event is as big as it’s ever been, with nearly a dozen new collaborations, a significant overhaul to the Battle Royale map, an entirely new Reload island, and even a completely free skin that you can earn without too much effort.

Let’s dive in and take a look at everything that’s new in Fortnite now that Fortnitemares has started.

When does Fortnitemares end?

The Fortnitemares party runs until November 1, at which point we expect the dedicated Simpsons season to start.

Collabs for Fortnitemares 2025

This year’s Fortnitemares event includes 11 different collaborations, including the ones for KPop Demon Hunters and Tron: Ares that dropped last week, and the Doja Cat items that appeared in the shop when the Fortnitemares update went live. Obviously, most of the collabs are still to come, and they’ll pop up in the item shop periodically over the course of the rest of October. Here’s what’s been revealed so far:

  • Wednesday Addams skin from Wednesday
  • Ghostface skin from Scream
  • Jason Voorhees skin from Friday the 13th
  • The Grabber skin from The Black Phone
  • Huggy Wuggy skin from Poppy Playtime
  • Art the Clown skin from Terrifier
  • Robot skins from R.E.P.O.
  • The entire gang from Scooby-Doo, plus a Mystery Machine van
  • Hearse vehicle with Wednesday and Poppy Playtime decals

Fortnitemares 2025 gameplay changes

Fortnitemares shook up the loot pool a bit, re-adding Halloween-themed weapons like the Pumpkin Launcher and the Stake Shotgun, introducing a pile of spooky new named locations that are filled with pumpkins, added three new boss NPCs around the map that you can fight for loot, like Doja Cat’s new Thorn Ripper weapon (a re-skin of the Chains of Hades), and introduced a Ghostface mythic item that allows you to move fast and become a stabby menace.

The new boss NPCs (Doja Cat, Jason Voorhees, and Magmatic Carver) can be found at “pumpkin takeover” spots that are pretty obvious on the map–where they appear is randomly selected each round, so you never know who’s gonna be where until your boots are on the ground.

There are some non-violent new NPCs around too–like the Scooby gang, whose members have quests for you that you can do for XP.

Fortnitemares 2025 map changes

Fortnitemares 2025 completely replaced two existing Star Wars locations that were leftover from Galactic Battle season in May–the Resistance Base has been swapped out for Creepy Camps, inspired by Jason Voorhees’ stomping grounds at Camp Crystal Lake, and the Outpost Enclave in the southeast is now Freaky Fields, an old POI that usually returns each October.

But those aren’t the only changes. Foxy Floodgates, Shining Span, and Shiny Shafts all got pumpkin patch makeovers, and so they look pretty different from what you’re used to.

New Reload island

Reload is getting its fifth battle royale island for the rotation starting October 10, with the latest being Nitemare Island. The new map features a combination of older, spooky-themed locations from Chapters 1 and 2 alongside a remix of the Hades portion of the island from Chapter 5.

Free Fortnitemares skin

Epic is giving away several cosmetics during this Fortnitemares, including a skin called Pig the Butcher–a butcher wearing a pig mask. To unlock the Pig the Butcher skin and his entire set of cosmetics, you simply need to gain 15 account levels before November 1, which is made much easier by doing the Fortnitemares quests. The set comes with a back bling, a butcher knife pickaxe, an emote, and two loading screens, each of which will unlock as you gain levels toward Pig the Butcher.

Meanwhile, folks who play Ranked Reload on the new Nitemare map can earn the free Spooky Stroll emote by eliminating 50 players in ranked Reload matches.

Epic is also celebrating the start of Fortnitemares with some Twitch drops. Watch any drop-enabled Fortnite stream on Twitch for 30 minutes for the Treat Bag back bling, and an hour for the Treat Axe pickaxe.

Fortnitemares quests

There are a ton of new Fortnitemares quests that you can complete for XP. Since there’s a lot of them, we went ahead and made a separate guide which you can read here.
