One of the big anime hits of the early 2000s was Yu-Gi-Oh, and decades later, this franchise still has a devoted fanbase. As Amazon Big Deal Days starts to wind down, there’s still time to save some cash on several of the steelbook editions of the Yu-Gi-Oh movies on Blu-ray. Yu-Gi-Oh: The Movie is available for $15.38 (was $30), while Yu-Gi-Oh: Bonds Beyond Time is on sale for $17.54 when you activate the coupon for it.
Yu-Gi-Oh: The Movie – Pyramid of Light
$15.38 (was $30)
Released in 2004, Yu-Gi-Oh: The Movie – Pyramid of Light is set between the third and fourth seasons of the show. Yugi Muto and the spirit of Pharaoh Atem once again face off against their rival Seto Kaiba in a Duel Monsters tournament, but unbeknownst to them, this match is all part of a plan put into motion 5,000 years ago by the Egyptian lord of the dead, Anubis.
This version of the film is a barebones presentation, as it only has the English audio track on the disc, but the steelbook cover does feature a nice design based on the original promotional art and movie poster.
Yu-Gi-Oh: Bonds Beyond Time
$17.54 (was $19.49)
Yu-Gi-Oh: Bonds Beyond Time was the second feature film in the franchise, and it hit cinemas in 2010. By this time, the original Yu-Gi-Oh series was long over and was followed by two successor series, Yu-Gi-Oh: GX and Yu-Gi-Oh: 5D’s.
The film was designed to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the franchise, and it teamed Yugi Moto up with the protagonists of the follow-up series–Yusei Fudo and Jaden Yuki–as they faced off against Paradox in a game of Duel Monsters that would decide the fate of the world.
The Bonds Beyond Time steelbook also features artwork based on the theatrical release materials, and for extras, it includes a flashback featurette alongside the English, Japanese, and Spanish dubs of the movie.
