Indie studio Dusty Box reaveled their first title Cult of Blood a survival horror game where a police officerโs investigation leads him to fight a deadly cult.
Like classic survival horror games, Cult of Blood emphasizes resource management and tension, with limited ammo and healing items as you face off against grotesque monstrosities. The game features fixed camera angles that enhance its eerie atmosphere, evoking the style of early Resident Evil and Silent Hill titles.
Key Features
-
Cinematic Horror โ Fixed camera angles and chilling cutscenes create a film-like atmosphere.
-
Classic-Inspired Controls โ Movement is deliberate and tense, capturing the essence of classic survival horror while adding modern refinements.
-
Intense Combat โ Risky melee, limited ammunition, and enemy swarms turn every fight into a desperate struggle.
-
Brutal Boss Encounters โ Face grotesque foes, culminating in a climactic, multi-phase final battle.
-
Survival & Upgrades โ Collect blood souls to unlock new gear or upgrade weapons, and manage supplies carefully to endure the escalating nightmare.
โWith Cult of Blood, we wanted to revive the suffocating tension of classic survival horror, where every corner hides danger and every decision could be your last,โ said Angelo Axiotis, co-founder of Dusty Box. โThis isnโt just a fight for survival, itโs a descent into a nightmare where youโre the key to a cultโs dark ascension.โ
The game will be available on Steam, and if this is something up your alley, you can put it in your wishlist today.
