Steam figures show a clear advantage for Battlefield 6, which united 521,079 concurrent players at its peak during the open beta, compared to that of the 99,574 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
On Twitch, the gap is just as noticeable: Battlefield 6 surpassed 868,000 viewers, while Call of Duty peaked at just over 200,000. This difference highlights a marked resurgence of interest in the DICE franchise, which had been losing momentum since Battlefield 2042.
However, these figures must be put into perspective: Black Ops 7 is available on more platforms, so the audience is dispersed. Activision also points out that Steam data alone does not reflect the game’s overall popularity.
Nevertheless, the trend is clear on pC: the community seems much more inclined to discover the return of Battlefield than the new Call of Duty.
