PS5 players are getting another acclaimed shooter next week that looks like Call of Juarez and Gun had a baby. “Weird West” shooter Blood West, which released on PC in 2023, will come to current-gen consoles along with its “Dead Man’s Promise” expansion.
Wild West shooter Blood West coming to PS5 on October 16
Out on Thursday, October 16, Blood West is a single-player first-person shooter described as “Weird West legends meet eldritch horror.” On PC, the game received rave reviews from players and critics alike.
Blood West features three episodes that offer over 20 hours of gameplay combined. Those who want to see “everything the barren lands have to offer” will spend roughly 35+ hours in the game.
“The Canyons, the Swamp, and the Mountains. Each swarming with abominable monsters and unholy demons, these are open-ended worlds for you to explore freely at your own pace,” reads an official description.
Blood West’s stealth gameplay takes inspiration from popular series like Thief and STALKER. Speaking of Thief, voice actor Stephen Russell — who plays series protagonist Garrett — is also the voice behind Blood West’s protagonist.
Players can expect non-linear maps full of secrets, an RPG-like progression system, and much more.
