Digital Sun has announced a delay for Moonlight 2: The Endless Vault’s early access launch. Instead of October 23rd, the dungeon crawler/shopkeeping sim will now launch on November 19th.
The reason for this delay is, unsurprisingly, due to the packed release schedule this month, especially since it’s become “too crowded for us.” “And as every wise shopkeeper knows, even the most precious gem can be overlooked in an overstuffed showcase.”
On the plus side, there will be closed playtests on Steam and the Microsoft Store. More details will be revealed soon, but it allows for trying out changes made based on feedback to the demo. The delay could also result in more polish when early access launches, so it might turn out beneficial.
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault will be playable on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and PS5 at launch (with plans to remain in early access for as long as necessary). It’s also available on day one for Game Pass subscribers, but you might want to check the increased prices for the service before subscribing.
It’s always disappointing to see a delay, but it’s great that the developers are taking the time to ensure a better experience. Looking forward to seeing what they have in store on November 19th!
make sure everything is polished before release. A well-crafted game can really enhance the player experience. Hopefully, the extra time will allow for some exciting new features or improvements!
