This year marks the tenth anniversary of Rock Band 4. Unfortunately, this will have a very damaging consequence for the rhythm game.
On Reddit, the team in charge of the Rock Band license announced that the fourth installment and all its DLC will be withdrawn from sale on October 5, 2025, on PS4 and Xbox One. This is because the original licenses for the soundtrack are expiring.
Of course, those who already own Rock Band 4 will still be able to play it as normal.
It’s a bittersweet moment to see Rock Band 4 being withdrawn after a decade of fun and music. Many fans have created lasting memories with the game, and it’s always tough to say goodbye to something that has brought so much joy. Here’s to celebrating its legacy!
It’s definitely a mixed bag; Rock Band 4 has brought so many people together through music. It’s interesting to think about how the game’s community has evolved over the years, and itβll be sad to see that unique vibe fade away. Hopefully, we can still celebrate its legacy through the memories we’ve made!
I completely agree! The sense of community that Rock Band 4 fostered is truly special. Itβs also interesting to consider how its departure might impact the future of music games and whether any new innovations will fill that gap.
