Stardew Valley, Pokémon Collide In New RPG You Can Play Free Now

Stardew Valley and Pokémon fans will want to check out this new RPG for free.

It’s probably fair to say that when it comes to charming and delightful franchises, it doesn’t get more so than the likes of the indie darling Stardew Valley and the Nintendo goliath, that is Pokémon.

So, when a new game comes along that has vibes of both Stardew Valley and Pokémon, perhaps with a hint of Harvest Moon, you can bet it will pique our interest.

The game in question is called Your Big, Cute Monster Farm, developed and published by the indie studio KaiPlay Studio.

Despite not having a confirmed release date at the time of writing, you can play Your Big, Cute Monster Farm right now, courtesy of its free playable demo available on Steam.

What’s more, judging by its specification requirements on its dedicated Steam store page, it looks like Your Big, Cute Monster Farm won’t be a very demanding game to play, which is always a nice bonus.

Your Big, Cute Monster Farm is a casual idle farming game that lives at the bottom of your screen. With no complex controls required, your cute monsters will handle all the farming — from tilling and planting to watering and harvesting,” reads the synopsis of the game.

“A lively little world quietly grows. Just take a moment to arrange your facilities while you work or study, decorate your farm, and enjoy the fruits of your labour!”

Not only will you be maintaining a farm in Your Big, Cute Monster Farm, but you’ll be hatching little “monsters” that will be working on your farmstead.

Your Big, Cute Monster Farm also has a fun feature that allows you to resize the game screen so that it sits at the bottom of your monitor, so you can see your little monsters put in a hard day’s graft while you blissfully browse the internet and whatnot.

“The demo looks absolutely charming! I love the witchy vibes and the decorating aspect. I’m sharing to help get the word out,” declared Jsnbrtz, replying to a tweet from the official Twitter account of the game.

It remains to be seen whether or not Your Big, Cute Monster Farm will go on to be another indie success story, but we’ll have our fingers crossed.

I’m hoping this will at least get an additional Nintendo Switch release, because it would look gorgeous on the hybrid machine’s handheld screen.

Be sure to wishlist Your Big, Cute Monster Farm on Steam to be notified when the full game is ready to be released.

Absolutely! It’s always intriguing to see how different game mechanics can come together. I’m particularly curious about how the farming elements from Stardew Valley will interact with Pokémon training and battles. Should make for a unique gameplay experience!
