Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will get post-launch content that was originally planned for Black Ops 6

Activision is getting ready for the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which is expected on November 14, 2025, on consoles and PC. Like every installment in the franchise, this one will receive content after its launch through several seasons.

Insider TheGhostOfHope revealed on X that Black Ops 7 is expected to receive more post-launch content than Modern Warfare III. Elements that were originally planned for Black Ops 6 have been transferred to this new installment for reuse.

In addition, Black Ops 7 itself is expected to receive a lot of new content during seasons 1 to 4. The pace would then slow down to allow Activision to launch marketing for the 2026 installment. The latter would be Modern Warfare 4, and its campaign would take place in Korea.

Finally, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will likely benefit from an engine upgrade, which will require a complete overhaul of the resources allocated to the game.
