The PS Store always features free PS5 demos. Although not every demo featured on the storefront is a hit, it is a way for players to check out a game they would potentially be into without paying full price for the game. The past month has seen some solid PS5 demos hit the PS Store, including Digimon Story Time Strangers and Sulfur, but some other demos may be worth checking out.

What are some of the newest PS5 demos available on the PS Store?

Here are just a few of the newest PS5 demos available on the PS Store right now, as well as trailers and brief descriptions for almost each game.

POOLS

Synopsis: “One could say POOLS is like an art gallery where you look around and listen to the sounds. There are very few things to solve, practically a few mazes. Sometimes the game can challenge your navigation skills. But mostly you’re just… there.”

Halls of Torment – Prelude

Synopsis: “Halls of Torment PRELUDE is a casual roguelite action RPG with a pre-rendered retro look reminiscent of RPGs from the late 90s. Choose one of three hero characters and descend into the deadly Halls of Torment. Fight unholy horrors from beyond and survive wave after wave of enemies until you face one of the tormented Lords. Strengthen your hero with character traits, abilities, and items. Create a new powerful build during each run. Explore various underground expanses and find new powerful items that enable you to venture even deeper into the abyss.”

Tormented Souls II

Synopsis: “Return to classic survival horror in this special demo version of Tormented Souls 2. Experience the opening section of the game as Caroline navigates the claustrophobic passageways of a shadowy convent in search of her missing sister.”

Dead Reset

Synopsis: “Trapped in a terrifying death-loop, surgeon Cole Mason is kidnapped and brought to an underwater facility, forced to operate on a patient to extract an evolving parasitic horror. Dead Reset is a blood-soaked interactive horror, where each death brings you closer to the truth.”

Let Them Come: Onslaught

Synopsis: “Let Them Come: Onslaught – Demo thrusts you into the chaos of retro sci-fi action, where bullet heaven gameplay meets explosive firepower and evolving strategy. Face an alien onslaught with an arsenal of outrageous weapons—from flamethrowers and Photon Sabers to orbital strikes.”

Captain Puff MacFly

Synopsis:  “Blast through the Skies of Netunia, a thrilling shoot ’em up roguelite where you battle a pirate empire from another dimension . Dodge bullet hells from Skullys and Angry Missiles, then face the mighty BigMoon.”
