A long-awaited PS2 classic game is finally rolling out on the PS5 and PS4 today, and the good news is that it comes with trophies. Unlike Capcom and Bandai Namco, whose classics don’t support trophies on modern platforms, Crystal Dynamics has opted to support the feature for Legacy of Kain: Defiance.

Legacy of Kain: Defiance is releasing today as part of PS Plus Premium/Deluxe at no additional cost. However, the game is available for stand-alone purchase as well. Players in countries where it’s noon (or past noon) have already been granted access, with the Americas to follow.
Both the PS5 and PS4 trophy sets are identical, and yes, there’s a Platinum trophy to pop. There are a total of 21 trophies, including the Platinum, and they look very straightforward.
“Take control of two powerful and highly evolved vampires: Kain, Emperor of Nosgoth and near-demigod, and Raziel, a wraithlike angel of death,” reads an official overview. “Each equipped with their own legendary sword, Kain & Raziel must battle through a world poisoned by conflict and intrigue as they attempt to unravel their destinies and defeat the dark forces that seek to condemn their world to eternal damnation.”
Legacy of Kain: Defiance originally released in 2003. Fun fact: it was directed by none other than Uncharted’s Amy Hennig.
