It was in September 2021 that we got a first and last glimpse of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake. The project was initially led by Aspyr before ultimately changing hands to Saber Interactive in August 2022 following significant development issues.
Last March, despite a long silence, the studio’s creative director, Tim Willits, stated that the remake was still in production. Now, it’s Steve Allison, Saber’s new chief business officer, who is providing an update. He has reportedly stated that the team is aiming for a 2028 launch for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake.
“We’re preparing to do more self publishing and I’m here to organize the group in preparation of the lineup forming for 2028 […] that includes Space Marine, Wick, hopefully KOTOR remake, and a few unannounced titles.”
Since this information was shared on Reddit without further context, it’s more important than ever to take it with a grain of salt.
