A game thatâs recently been canceled on the PlayStation 4 is giving fans their money back. The game was released last year, but will not be making its way to older consoles.
Dying Light: The Beast wonât be on PS4, but you can get your money back
In a recent post on social media, developer Techland confirmed that Dying Light: The Beast would not be releasing on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The 2025 survival horror game set in the world of Dying Light was originally announced for the previous generation of consoles. However, due to the advanced nature of the game, previous generation consoles âsimply cannot provideâ the power needed.
Although the game wonât be making its way to older consoles, fans can still get a refund. The post mentions that anyone who was looking forward to play are eligible for refunds. Itâs unclear how players will be able to get said refunds, but perhaps going through either the PlayStation or Xbox stores will be the best bet for now.
âWe know many of you were looking forward to playing on PS4 or Xbox One, and we are truly sorry for the disappointment this causes. Anyone who was expecting to play on either platform will be eligible for a refund,â reads part of the post.
According to the original post, Techland cited hardware limitations as to why the game wouldnât be coming to any older platforms. The game will instead stay available on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
